The level of talent that goes through this company is not limited to our Rescue, Safety or even Training divisions, F.I.R.S.T. is privileged to have a top notched IT support in, Sean Orsack. All of us are amazed at what Sean is able to do. If something goes wrong in our IT world the first thing you'll hear us echo is "Call Sean".
He provided a brief summary of how the wealth of his knowledge was acquired. He said "it was a passion, I got my first IT job at 18. Worked until 2003 and then joined the military. After the military I did contract work in Iraq and Afghanistan until 2014, from there I used my GI bill to continue my education and brush up on my skills. It was in 2016, that I joined F.I.R.S.T."
Sean commented that doing contract work for so long exposed him to a variety of problems, networking problems, software problems, etc. which helped him become a jack of all trades. He has been well suited for the companies needs, as they tend to vary. When trouble shooting my computer our our network or the printer, sometimes I'll ask what the issue was, he graciously does his best to explain in simple terms, but usually you'll find he starts speaking in IT, and I am soon left in the dust. Well it isn't for us to know the ends and outs of our software, we can rest assured that we have capable support to troubleshoot whatever the problem might be.
Sean all of us here at F.I.R.S.T. would like to take this opportunity to thank you for walking over to our desk, taking time to look out our printer, helping us with our phone systems and so much more that we don't even see! We're happy you decided to share your skills with us.
What do you appreciate about F.I.R.S.T.?: "F.I.R.S.T. has given me a great opportunity that I'm thankful for. And has allowed me a creative freedom that I've not found at any other company. Having a background in the military and overseas contracting, I seek employment with company's that instill teamwork, camaraderie, pride and professionalism. I found all that F.I.R.S.T. and more."
Outside of work what is most important to you?: "My family, I wouldn't be where I am today without them."
