Meet The Team: Robert Yarbrough

You would be hard pressed to find a person more passionate about rope rescue than Robert Yarbrough. He has been with the company pretty much since day one and has always been all in!

Many of our employee's have attended one of his new hire training sessions. The feelings are often expressed "if you can survive Robert's training, you can make it!" Because of the passion Robert has for rope rescue, he demands accuracy and adherence to the technique that F.I.R.S.T. employs for their method of performing a rescue. That's just a nice way of saying, "if you can endure the critique and rigor of Robert Yarbroughs training, it will only benefit you in the long run". Tapping into the wealth of knowledge Robert has from many years of working on the Houston Fire Departments Rescue Team, is an asset that all current and new employee's have access to.

Working at with HFD has forged lifelong friendships, that Robert expressively treasures. Some of his closest friends include Logan Reininger, Brady Devereaux and many others. He thinks highly of them all and says "there's nothing I wouldn't do for them". Those words have often been spoken, but when you hear Robert say it you know he means it.

In addition to in-house training, Robert also helps keep up with the inventory of our rescue equipment, and client orders. When working at the shop, he always makes sure to ask if anyone need's help. Robert, the F.I.R.S.T. team would like to take this moment to thank you for the hard work you put in, for helping us keep things running smoothly and assisting our employee's to work and train safely!

INTERVIEW

What do you appreciate about F.I.R.S.T.?: "I love how everyone get's along and how it's like family. And I suppose that answers your second question too, Family is the most important thing to me, besides hunting."

From the Team

"Robert Yarbrough taught my pre-employment rope rescue class. He was an amazing instructor and had a really good sense of humor. He was very willing to help if one did not understand, even if it took more than a few times to learn a knot system. ( He laughs) But in all seriousness, he set the tone for the class and the job itself for me personally. Anytime I do training at F.I.R.S.T. again I hope he is the instructor!" - Kevin Martinez

"Robert Yarbrough, What a great friend, employee, and most of all just a plain ol' good country guy from Huffman, Texas. I worked with Robert for years in the Houston Fire Department and now at F.I.R.S.T. LLC for which I can tell you there is no one more dedicated to his family, job, and friends than Robert Yarbrough. If you ever need help or if he thinks you need help, no matter whether he knows you or not he will be the first one to step up and give you a hand. Another one of Robert's attributes is his distinct voice which can be heard across the country. You will never have to worry about him getting lost in the woods because all you have to do is listen and if he is talking in a normal voice you'd hear him... Honesty, hardworking, friendly, smart, respectful and a great father is why I consider him one of a kind. Love you like a brother, " - Logan Reininger

"He can do it all, high angle, confined space, structural collapse. He knowledgeable, serious and passionate about rescue. He loves it! He would do anything for his friends. You'd recognize him anywhere he's one of a kind." - Brady Devereaux
