Meet the Team: Cody Dickerson

A MacGyver is someone who "Makes or repairs an object in an improvised or inventive way, making use of whatever items are at hand." Cody Dickerson has been referred to as our MacGyver. He is someone who is mechanically inclined, attentive to detail and loves a good challenge. Everyone around here acknowledges that Cody is a multifaceted individual, the "Swiss Army Knife" of our F.I.R.S.T. tool kit.

Cody, has been with F.I.R.S.T. for two years now and is one of our rescue supervisors. He recently became an EMT and is also taking courses in order to become a Plant Operator. He stays busy, it seems that if he is not working he's studying.

His managers noted that he is a knowledgeable employee, but he is also willing to ask questions if he needs further clarification. They also remarked on his appearance, Cody always presents himself in a clean cut, respectable way. These qualities are useful and appreciated on any team, and also noted by our clients.

What do you appreciate about F.I.R.S.T.?: "F.I.R.S.T. is a family oriented business, and there are opportunities to grow."

Tell us something about yourself.: " I moved from South Carolina 3 years ago. I'm closer to my sister now who lives in Louisiana so I'm able to see her more often. Living in Texas has also given me more opportunities."

What is something we should know about your job?: "Being a lead I want to know everything that is going on, so that the team and I are prepared for anything that could occur."
